Founded in 2023, Swissness Applied is the brainchild of Guy Chachkis – a curious mind with a passion for design, craftsmanship, and trying something new (sometimes very new). Originally trained as a lawyer, Guy followed a different path – one that led from courtrooms to creative workshops, from scuba gear to CNC machines.​​

After moving to Switzerland in 2021, Guy embraced the Swiss way of doing things: detail-oriented, high quality, and a little obsessed with perfection. Inspired by a lifelong love for working with wood, he dove into CNC and laser design – transforming raw materials into refined, personalized products.

What started as a passion project turned into a growing studio offering custom furniture, engraved gifts, Judaica, kids’ puzzles, hotel cards, and more. Every piece is designed and crafted with care, right here in Switzerland.

We believe in smart design, lasting materials, and creating things that make people smile. Whether it’s a custom engraving, a meaningful gift, or a small but clever piece of home decor – Swissness Applied turns ideas into timeless wooden treasures.
